Southern Launch

The Koonibba Community Aboriginal Corporation and Southern Launch partnered together to develop the Koonibba Test Range (KTR), Australia’s first licensed space launch facility. Our scope was the construction of the construction of the launch pad and a 1.5 km entry road. It included earthworks, concrete works and an extensive safety management plan. The launch pad was over 1125 sq m, and over 40 000 tonne of dirt moved. The project finished in 11 weeks - on time, and on budget.
